Voices of Christchurch - Christchurch Earthquake

My reasons for this should be very obvious. The City Fathers have finally discovered there are approximately 40,000 to 50,000 families without homes in Christchurch.
They are only this last week discovering how truly devastating the earthquake really has been to them.
Some of the Cities most beautiful old Heritage buildings are having to be demolished as they are no longer safe to work with.
But the people are my concern. They are desperate for warmth and food. the only we can help is by adding our Donations to the Official Government Site and get help to these folk as quickly as possible.
I make this plea on behalf of my Beloved Country of New Zealand.
Sure several of my family members live there, but I am thinking here and asking for help for all of them.
One Elderly couple in their 80′s were found yesterday afraid to go outside, and they had no toilet, not water, except for a tiny little bit coming out of 1 tap, there was no power and they had no gas. they had lived on what was left in their cupboards since 22nd of February.
They hadn’t even had one hot meal. there are many others like that, the authorities are discovering, so again I ask, Please help my Country folk.
